Bob's Bunnies

Bob has been talking about wanting some rabbits for a year or two.  So, he finally got some this summer.  We started them out in the chicken yard, but they like to chew on my new apple trees, so we had to turn them out.  They still stay around the yard and we feed them rabbit food.  There are 3 dark gray ones, 1 is black and white and 1 is all white with pink eyes and pink ears.  They are fun to watch.  They are so funny.  Sometimes they just jump straight up into the air.

I will try to get a better picture  of the gray and black and white bunnies later.

Joyce's Chickens

I have had a few chickens for a couple of years.  This summer a friend gave me a setting hen.  I got some fertile eggs from my neighbor and she hatched out 5 baby chicks.  They were soooo cute.  Now they are full grown and I have 4 roosters and one hen.  I hope I have better luck next summer.  I need a few more laying hens.

This is when they were about half grown.  They were all still trying to get under their Mother at night.  The three black ones all turned out to be roosters and I think the white one is a rooster.  Just the little brown one is a hen.

I't snowing outside, so they all want to sit on the roost all day.  The roosters are getting big enough for Sunday Dinner.  I will keep the biggest one only.

Linda's Attic

The fourth room in the building is an addition to Joyce's Tea Room.  I named it Linda's Attic.  We had lots of Christmas items this year.  Here are some pictures.  We have already sold lots of things.  I am also using this as my quilting room, since all of my other rooms are over crowded.

Bob's Toy Shop

Here are some pictures of Bob's new Work Shop.  He has been making toys for Amish children for Christmas.  It is larger than his workshop in Indiana, but he doesn't have as many power tools.  He is beginning to collect some.

Custom Outhouse

Sorry I was not able to post the outhouse on the first post.  I am having a problem editing, so this will be upside down and backwards.  Hope you can make some sense out of it.

Welcome To Oakensheim Quilts, Etc.

For some reason I can no longer access Oakensheim Quilts Blog Spot to do any posting, so I had to start a new Blog Spot.  I hope this is not too confusing for my fan club.  This summer Bob and I did some remodeling to our large log building.  We divided it into 4 sections.  The garage section houses our car, new John Deere Garden Tractor and Mower and also our newest enterprise, Amish freezers.  We currently have 10 freezers.  As you know, the Amish are not allowed to have electricity in their homes, so we are providing a service to them.  They are mostly Bachelors, but we have a couple of families.
